UNCERTAINTY SET 2)4)
← Back
The range of expected future disturbances that may affect a system.
This notion has been enunciated by M. MESAROVIC et al in a study about the satisfaction conditions in biological systems (1973, p.68).
It could also probably be introduced in economic and social systems and in industrial and business enterprises.
The definition of an uncertainty set is necessary for an optimum calibration of the regulators. It remains however always somewhat conjectural.
