SYSTEM (Second Order) 2)
← Back
"A chain of two storing units (Integrators) with a loopback" (H. ODUM, 1971, p.99).
This is a systems engineering concept. It is thus called "… because the differential equation for the whole system has a second derivative. Such systems may oscillate regularly, and when the input is variable, undesirably wide fluctuations may result. The oscillator may get into phase with the external variation of input and go into resonance with variations and flows that are larger than those in the input" (Ibid).
