A general term for hormones and pheromones. The neologism is introduced by T. STONIER (1997) and considered by S. BRIER as "not a bad term"
Other biochemicals as for example Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) and ADN and ARN could, it seems, be added to the list. So could the intersynaptic chemicals in the nervous system.
Generally speaking, the new term aims at conveing the information transmission value of these chemicals and their role in bi-and multiple relationships and, as a result, as agents of sociality.
