PLANNING (Recursive) 1)2)
← Back
The process of submitting any plan to frequent revisions.
There are at least three reasons to admit the necessity of frequently revising a plan on the march:
- Any plan is based on a simplified view of reality, based on criteria that may turn doubtful or insatisfactory with time.
- In complex situations and systems, the multiplicity of initial conditions introduces the possibility of deterministic chaos, which implies that the system may not be as manageable as initially believed, or that it should be managed differently, after better evaluation of dominant and secondary conditions.
- The initial or subsequent results of steps already taken should be evaluated, in order to avoid surprising possible side-effects and deviations.
