NON-INTEGRABILITY 2)
← Back
Condition of a system"… characterized by a continuous spectrum and the presence of continuous sets of resonances" (I. PRIGOGINE et all, 1991, p.3).
Such systems are complex, having a number of interconnected internal conditions. In the authors words: "As is well known, non-integrability leads to the appearance of random trajectories and chaos" (Ibid).
This feature led recently the authors (in the referenced paper) to introduce an internal time in their classical and quantum mechanics models "… describing the relations (the "correlations") between the particles (Ibid).
The internal time – in a biological context, and based on empirical observations – was described in the thirties by the French biologist P. LECOMTE du NOÜY (1936).
