NODE (Triadic) 2)
← Back
A node"… with two in-branches and one outbranch" (H. PAYNTER, 1968, p.76).
The concept of triadic node was introduced by C. S PEIRCE.
H. PAYNTER emphasizes: "At the level of binary logic, PEIRCE himself anticipated SCHEFFER in the discovery of the alternate denial and joint denial operators (the modern NOR and NAND)… A universal triad must be both associative/dissociative and symmetric with respect to in-branches" (p.77).
