A local processing node in an artificial network.
Neurodes have been inspired by neurons in biological (neuronal) networks. Accordingly, they have many incoming connections from other neurodes in the network, but emit only one outgoing signal, as the product of a single computing operation. The neurode thus executes a transfer function.
