INFORMATION MATRIX 2)
← Back
A matrix in which the structural and metric information content of a system of interrelations is specified.
This model has been introduced by D. Mac KAY, who proposes to represent the metron-contents of logons as the elements of a diagonal information matrix" (1969, p.170). He writes, for instance: "The intended meaning of the communication is… definable as the selection function that is intended to exercise on the range of possible states" (1972, p.28).
This is to be related to STEINBUCH's learning matrixes.
