IDEOLOGY 1)3)4)
← Back
A body of statements tending to impose values, beliefs and behavioral norms in a social system.
Ideologies tend to having an internal rationality, becoming impervious to any concept or even event that does not seem to fit within their limits. They are regulation mechanisms and can, during long time, foster cultural identity. They nonetheless may impair the perception of discrepancies or changes and finally lead the system to a critical threshold of instability.
