FIELD AS A REPRESENTATION 2)
← Back
In a representation of a field- for ex. a static descriptive figure -"… the only real meaning of the lines is to represent the possible paths along which a third charged body would move (depending on its charge) if it were placed otherwise unhindered in the field"(J. Bryant, 1991 , p.3)
However, in the Chladni experiment with deposition of iron filings on glass surface placed above a magnetic field, the filings do not move anymore and the field is in some sense statically materialized in its effect.
