EXPERIENCE LOOPING 1)2)
← Back
The use of permanent feedback between producers (inventors, researchers, engineers, managers, etc… ) and users (servicing technicians, clients).
This cybernetic methodology, proposed by M. MARUYAMA (1985, p.385-89) aims at successful product invention, development and adaptation.
It allows for better information about the variable and specific conditions of a technique's use in different physical and human situations.
It includes design looping, in which "the components are re-designed for the final product, and, concept crossing which "is the combination of concepts from different fields of specialization (in which process)… much foresight is needed on the part of the management" (p.387).
MARUYAMA gives some impressive examples in his paper.
