DISSYMMETRY 1)2)
← Back
Uneven distribution of energy or matter in space and in time.
This notion was introduced by L. PASTEUR (dissymmetry of tartaric acid crystals) and has taken a growingly general character. It seems to be related to dissipative structuration and emergence of complexity in systems and, consequently with thermodynamics of irreversible systems.
A dissymetric concept of the effects of entropy is now also basic in H. SABELLI's process theory, according to which all processes and concepts imply two opposite dynamics or forms.
