The capacity of elements present in an optimal microsite to migrate to other ones.
This is an important feature for the reconstitution of ecosystems that have been affected by a disturbance. It may as well be important for human systems partially destroyed by some disaster. In France, for instance, after the Black Death pandemics (1347-1352), artisans were brought over from Italy in order to reimplant some disappeared specialized trades.
