A method of coding using only two precisely defined signs indicating presence or absence, 1 and 0.
The basic logical concept of digital coding is Boolean Algebra. It is of universal use in so-called digital computers because it allows for the sequential treatment in a very short time of enormous quantities of data and instructions, previously translated into this binary language.
