CYCLE TIME (Endogenous) 2)
← Back
"The time taken for a system to complete a cycle of characteristic behavior" (T.F.H. ALLEN & T.B. STARR,.1982, p.267)
ALLEN and STARR give as an example a single heartbeat and they comment: "The endogenous cycle time determines the time taken for a holon to return to its equilibrium behavior after being influenced by an external signal. This is sometimes called the relaxation time, an alternative criterion for arranging holons in hierarchies" (p.37).
