The reciprocal influence of one event or process on other ones.
While direct interactions are evident and generally taken into account, many other ones which are not so obvious, are frequently ignored or neglected. A graph or matrix of the various intervening elements or processes helps find out which interactions are effective and significant, within the totality of the possible ones.
