"The relation of two parts without the mediation of a third part. Non-connexity is the absence of this relation" (J. FEIBLEMAN & J.W. FRIEND, 1969, p.32).
These authors give the following example: "…. the skin and seeds of an apple are nonconnected. (On the contrary) three grains of sand (directly in contact) are connected (Ibid).
Connexity supposes thus the contact, but not necessarily any interaction.
