COALESCENCE 1)
← Back
A process of progressive concentration of formerly scattered elements, centered on a nucleus.
Coalescence results of random movements of scattered elements which casually produces some local concentration. Thereafter this core or "seed" starts to act as a center of aggregation
→ ("fractal aggregation", "nucleation mechanism")
It is a percolation, or an emergence phenomenon.
Coalescence is quite general and is verified in many cosmic, biological, economic and social processes.
