CHOROPLETH 5)
← Back
A line of uniform value in a graphical representation. (M. CHISHOLM, 1975, p.62).
Choropleths are used to coordinate series of observations, corresponding to some specified areas, for example population density, or land-use proportions. They allow for the characterization of areas and comparisons between various ones in which different conditions can be summarized, i.e. allow for the emergence of a global meaning for collections of specific data.
