CHOICE 1)
← Back
The possibility of selection between two or more future possible situations, or programs of action.
The concept of choice is controversial because it implies at least a partial relativization of determinism.
According to P. VENDRYES, only regulated systems with available reserves and specified goals have such selection possibilities at any moment.
Choice is thus not merely a result of indeterminacy "à la HEISENBERG". Its relation with chaotic determinism and eventual control of the same should be explored.
